Planning permission has been granted for the new Community Campus in Faifley, with a strong focus on promoting outdoor learning, natural play, environmental education, and green spaces. As landscape architects, we are excited to be a part of this initiative, which will enhance the local environment and provide valuable opportunities for sustainable learning.

The proposals include a diversity of habitats that will transform this campus into a living classroom whilst enhancing the site’s biodiversity. These natural elements will create a vibrant and ever-changing backdrop for education and play. The generous community-facing plaza will serve as a hub for the community and welcome children to their school. Additionally, the inclusion of an allotment demonstrates our commitment to fostering community engagement and local food production.

At OOBE we look forward to contributing our expertise to make this vision a reality and create a sustainable, inclusive, and educational campus that will benefit the entire community.

Regional Director Chris Shiels added “Our sincere thanks go to all those involved in this project, and we can’t wait to see the positive impact it
will have in Faifley.”
