The Artisan Real Estate redevelopment of Kirkstall Place has recently secured planning permission. It will deliver more than 260 homes and provide a small-scale commercial unit for retail or co-working office space.
Clive Wilding, property director at Artisan Real Estate, commented: “It’s fantastic news that we’ve been given approval for our plans for the Kirkstall Place development.
“We look forward to delivering much needed housing on this key regeneration site in Kirkstall that has stood vacant for so many years.”
Ed Gant, OOBE Senior Landscape Architect explained: “Our landscape masterplan draws on the rich industrial history of the area. Through a series of public, semi-public and private high-quality spaces we have focused on providing a scheme that will promote residents well-being and community interactions.
By incorporating terraced areas, gardens and interconnecting green spaces, we have provided a place that will be rich in biodiversity, be welcoming and enjoyable to spend time in for the many families who will call it home.
The project team, including Axis Architecture, Fore consulting and OOBE Landscape Architects, has worked closely with Leeds City Council to develop the scheme which will provide a mix of residential accommodation within a high-quality landscape setting.
