OOBE are showcasing Newcastle University Kings Road as part of the new exhibition highlighting the importance of landscape in shaping our cities.

Rethinking the Urban Landscape exemplifies how landscape architecture can offer sustainable solutions to the big challenges facing contemporary urban society including flooding and public health. Showcasing some of the UK’s most powerful contemporary landscape projects including King’s Cross and the Olympic Park, alongside small, community-led schemes including pocket parks and community allotments, the exhibition will highlight the importance of investing in green infrastructure if our cities are to become more liveable, healthy and safe.

It opened at The Building Centre on 8th January sponsored by ACO Technologies plc and Penter. Due to popular demand the exhibition has beene extended so you now have until Thurday 26th February to go and be inspired!

There will also be an accompanying event on Monday 9th February ‘How do you pay for green infrastructure in an age of austerity?’
