The landscape team proposed a set of detailed principles in which the vision for the public and private realm would be developed to ensure high quality spaces were designed and delivered as part of the development.
These spaces established a clear identity within the surrounding context of Ealing that will enrich the experiences of residents and visitors.
Urban greening creates a distinctive sense of place for this residential development
A key objective of the proposals for all sites was to establish a clear identity for the development within its setting where the quality of life and the quality of the environment are integral. The success of the development was to create flexible and adaptable environment that allows users to utilise spaces personally for a mixture of uses simultaneously.
Urban Greening across all of the sites contributes positively to green infrastructure links, biodiversity gain, visual amenity and sustainable urban drainage strategy. A distinctive sense of place, that provides a unique identity for the scheme, whilst seamlessly knitting the new development in its immediate physical and social context. A climate positive environment
that minimises carbon footprint, maximises carbon sequestration, and provides in site solutions to pressing environmental concerns in the area such as flooding, urban heating and air and noise pollution.
