A respected designer, Sharon is an award-winning Landscape Architect with a wealth of experience in Landscape Architecture and public realm projects. She is diligent and creative with a great understanding and expertise of technical detailing, planting, project management and delivery, resulting in gaining repeat business.
Sharon joined OOBE in 2019 and re-establishes working relationships with six former colleagues, including Mike and Ollie who she first worked alongside as a graduate in 2005 following completion of her studies at Edinburgh College of Art.
Sharon’s previous employment includes small design-led practices and international multi-disciplinary environmental consultancies, designing and delivering public spaces whilst weaving ecological and environmental principles in wherever possible. She is passionate about the projects she gets involved with and works hard to create, collaborate and deliver places for the client and end users.
During her career, Sharon has built up a diverse project experience across a range of scales and types of development. This includes small scale commemorative gardens to residential masterplanning, leisure schemes and the regeneration of school and further educational environments. She appreciates the sensitivities and problem solving that each site and brief brings, supporting the OOBE team to deliver intelligent and creative solutions.
When she’s not in the office Sharon enjoys nothing more than being outdoors, nurturing the garden, exploring Northumberland’s countryside and coast with her young family, escaping back to her native Scotland or further afield whenever possible. She loves running and can often be found pounding the Newcastle Quayside on her lunch hour.
